HAND TUNE-UP (Super manicure) Your nails are vital to a well-groomed appearance.
The woman in your life loves to be caressed, - but not with rough hands and dirty nails.
For your hand tune-up, we soak the nails to soften the cuticles. We then remove the excess cuticle skin from the nail plate.
Your nails are then filed to the shape you want and minor nail damage is repaired. Cuticle conditioners are applied and the
nails are buffed to a natural sheen.
Next we massage the hands and arms with a blend of essential oils.
After the massage, the paraffin treatment is given to relax the tissue and improve circulation. Be prepared for the compliments when you get home.
FOOT OVERHAUL (Super pedicure) After carrying your body around for many kilometers your feet will require an overhaul. Come in to our shop and have them serviced by one of our trained technicians. She will sit you in our pedicure bay and soak your feet in a warm foot-bath containing a herbal remedy. The nails are clipped and shaped in a manner which deters in-growing toe nails. Any calluses and hard skin is removed and then the lower leg and feet are exfoliated and then massaged with a masculine blend of essential oils.
Finally, each foot is given a hot paraffin treatment to relax the tissue and improve circulation. You will leave confident that your "re-treads" will give you many more kilometers before the next service.
FACE WORKOUT (Masculine facial) For the super facial, the skin is first cleansed to allow analysis of its condition so that the most effective treatment for your skin-type can be selected. Using a liquid toner, we then deep cleanse and tone the skin. Further deep cleansing is done by using a skin brush with an exfoliating cream. The cream is wiped from the skin to prepare it for steaming. Steaming of the face is done for 10-15 minutes so as to remove toxins, open the pores to permit easy extraction of blackheads and acne and allow easier absorption of the skin treatments which follow. After extraction of any blackheads or acne, the skin is sterilized by using a 'high frequency' sterilizer. An ampoule of nourishing extracts are "patted" into the skin followed by the application of a mask. Finally, the face and shoulders are massaged using moisturizing agents.
Note: Please shave before you come in for your facial, but do not use any after-shave or lotions.
HAIR REMOVAL
There is a misconception that any hair removal causes re-growth to become
more course than before. This is NOT so. This misconception arose from the use of shaving to remove hair. Shaving cuts the hair at the
skins surface and since hair grows from the bottom of the follicle,
the cut hair is now thicker at the top giving the impression that the
hair is actually growing thicker. This is why a man's stubble is very
hard and rough while a beard is much softer. With other depilatory
methods where the hair is removed from the follicle, the new hair
will have the normal fine tip. Further, with continued removal of new
hair growth by waxing for example, there is a decline in the number
of hairs that actually re-grow, so not only is re-growth finer, it is
more sparse.
Although many of our male
clients have unwanted hair removed by waxing, others prefer sugaring
because they find it more effective and any reddening of the skin
disappears more quickly.
